Crowdsourced Criticism is an independent publication built by and for the people. We have no corporate sponsors, no government funding, and no allegiance to any political party or ideology. Our only obligation is to the truth.

When the promise of "new media" turned out to be just another flavor of the same corporate-backed narratives, we decided to build something different. Crowdsourced Criticism exists because too many newsrooms answer to advertisers, investors, or access instead of readers. We answer to you.

Our contributors are everyday people — researchers, whistleblowers, retired professionals, concerned citizens — who bring firsthand knowledge and a commitment to accountability. Every story is fact-checked, sourced, and published without interference.

What we stand for:

Truth over access — We will never soften a story to protect a source relationship or maintain insider access. If it is true and matters to the public, we publish it.

Community-owned reporting — Our stories come from readers, not press releases. We investigate what you tell us matters, not what editors in Manhattan or Silicon Valley decide is newsworthy.

No corporate strings — We are funded by readers, not by corporations, PACs, or foreign interests. When you subscribe, you are our only stakeholder.

Accountability for everyone — We hold power accountable regardless of political affiliation, industry, or institution. No one is above scrutiny.

Ethical criticism — Opinion and criticism are clearly labeled. We believe in honest analysis, fair commentary, and the right of every citizen to question those in power without fear.

The media was supposed to be the Fourth Estate — a check on power. Somewhere along the way, it became part of the machine. Crowdsourced Criticism is here to change that.
